What is Ciaobrow White Mapping Paste?

A professional white paste for outlining the brow shape before colour or lamination treatments. It gives you and your client a clear, visible guide around the brow, so you can agree the shape and check symmetry before anything goes on.

Why use mapping paste?

Outlining your mapped brow with paste stops henna and tint from bleeding beyond your lines, giving sharper, more defined brows and a cleaner finish.

How do I use it?

1. Prep: cleanse the brow area so it's free of makeup, oil and moisturiser. The paste grips best on clean, dry skin.
2. Map: mark out the brow shape with your preferred mapping tool, such as mapping thread or a pencil.
3. Outline: use a bevelled (angled) brush to apply the paste directly onto the skin along the outside of your mapped lines, above, below, at the front and at the tail. Keep the edge closest to the brow crisp, as that edge defines the future shape of the brows.
4. Check: step back, check symmetry from the front, and confirm the shape with your client before any colour goes on.
5. Treat: carry out your henna, tint or lamination treatment inside the outline.
6. Remove: lift the paste away with a dry cotton bud, working outwards away from the brow so you don't drag it into the colour. Because it's a wax-based formula, water alone won't fully remove it, so finish with your usual brow cleanser or a small amount of oil on a cotton pad.

Pro tips

• Less is more. A thin, even line gives a sharper edge than a thick layer.
• Clean your brush between sides so both brows get the same crisp edge.
• Fix mistakes with a clean bud before you apply colour, not after.
• Use it as a consultation tool. Showing the client the outlined shape before you start helps avoid surprises at the end.

What's in it?

A wax-based paste using plant-derived candelilla wax for a smooth, stay-put line, with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for a bright white finish that shows up on every skin tone, and vitamin E.
